Launching the book ‘Queen Jadwiga’
The Queen Jadwiga
Foundation was distinguished by obtaining grant for lunching book „Queen Jadwiga” from the Victoria Government. This grant is
also recognition for the new established QJF Press.
  
Grant was presented by representative
of the Premier of Victoria Cabinet Min. D. Andrews. The grant that we
received is also recognition for the contribution
of the Queen Jadwiga Foundation into development
of the Australian culture enriched by the influence of the Polish culture.
On the occasion of the 10th
anniversary of Queen Jadwiga canonization 11 March 2007 took
place the ceremony of lunching of the book „Queen Jadwiga”.
This event was hold at Pastoral Centre, 326 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne,
Victoria. This book was
prepared in cooperation with scientist from distinguished European
universities and scientific institutes. The book „Queen Jadwiga” is not only the
historical elaboration but also significant artistic achievement. Very
unique and beautiful graphical designing refers to the way in which the
illuminated manuscripts were prepared. The aim of this new graphical
designing is to increase of the interest in historical and artistic
literature of the past epochs and especially the Polish history. This book
possesses also very valuable educational feature and become an important
contribution in promotion of culture based on the Christian values.
  
Multimedia presentation that
was the part of the lunching event triggered a ‘stormy’ discussion.
We hope that institutions in Poland as
well as Polish institutions in the different countries all over the world
will help us to promote this beautiful book.
