NEW EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM - Family of St. Queen Jadwiga’s Schools

The New Educational Program – Family of St. Queen Jadwiga’s Schools is elaborated within the framework of the QJF RCCAL research program. Currently there is a debate on development and implementation of the National Curriculum in many countries such as Australia or Poland. However, it seems that there is no attention given to the new possibilities that emerge in the context of rapidly growing market of Educational Software (ES) and the influence of its application in the educational process. The term educational software is not well defined and there is no Government Body for monitoring incorporation of these relatively new products into currently used curricula and, as a result, into the educational process. There is a need to elaborate the method of evaluation of educational software, method of teaching using educational software, changes of the teaching material as well as elaboration of the way in which the Government will monitor incorporation of educational software into the existing curriculum. The most important issue is to assess how educational process will be affected by introduction of the method of teaching using educational software and which part of material will be strongly affected by both the educational software and the new professional packages that put into question teaching/learning of the classical parts of knowledge. Also problems with application of the tests in assessment process yields many unsolved problems concerning shifting of the attention from the human-oriented way of teaching/learning into the more machine oriented teaching/learning. Taken into account so many difficulties in seeing the educational problem in the proper perspective during sometimes chaotic development and implementation of the National Curriculum there is a need to investigate the new forms of teaching/learning in turning into the traditional national values and history. Taken this into account QJF RCCAL, in collaboration with the Family of St. Queen Jadwiga’s Schools, developed and implemented some of the forms of this new program. Within this program St. Queen Jadwiga’s Treasure of Faith, the St. Queen Jadwiga little pearls, the competition the Queen of the Year or the meeting of the Queen of the Year with the children from orphanage were established.
